About this effect

Grain adds pseudo-random noise that animates over time, simulating the look of high-ISO film or analog video tape. Unlike static noise, the animation gives images a living, breathing quality — ideal for video stills or creating a vintage photography feel. Control grain intensity (from barely-there texture to heavy noise) and grain size. The effect is seeded so it animates smoothly rather than jumping randomly. Layer under VHS and Scanlines for a complete analog degradation look.

Parameters

  • Intensity — noise strength (0–1)
